01 The Objective
The objective of the project was to develop a Business Intelligence and Reporting tool that meets the following requirements:
- The Business Intelligence tool should have a user-friendly and interactive web interface that allows users to access and visualize various indicators and dimensions of domestic violence and drug abuse, such as prevalence, incidence, risk factors, consequences, interventions, etc.
- Using previous 10 years history to analyse the case management of referrals.
- The Business Intelligence tool should allow users to compare and contrast domestic violence and drug abuse data across regions, sectors, populations, gender, age groups, etc.
- The Business Intelligence tool should provide users with analytical reports and dashboards that highlight key challenges and opportunities, such as hotspots, gaps, best practices, etc.
- The Business Intelligence tool should have a secure and robust data management system that ensures the quality, consistency and timeliness of data sources from various national and international organizations.
- Ability to upload weekly reports and draw various reports
02 The Solution
We used our expertise and experience in Business Intelligence tool development to create a Business Intelligence tool that fulfills the client's expectations and objectives. We used the following technologies and tools to develop the Business Intelligence tool:
- Power BI as the main platform for data integration, transformation, modeling and visualization
- SQL Server as the database management system
- Microsoft .Net with Drag and Drag options to generate reports and graphs.
We followed an agile methodology to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of the project. We divided the project into several sprints, each with a set of features and functionalities. We communicated with the client regularly to get feedback and approval on each sprint. We also performed testing and debugging on each sprint to ensure optimal performance and security of the Business Intelligence tool.
03 The Outcome
The outcome of the project was a successful launch of the Business Intelligence tool. The Business Intelligence tool received positive feedback from both users and stakeholders for its design, functionality and usability. The Drag and Drop Reporting Tool was installed across centers.
